This stock is cut from a select plank of  fine English walnut, kiln dried and air dried for a period of 8 years.
Of particular interest is the rear sight. It is hand made and is an exact copy of the English sporting rifle sights of the period [1790’s to 1820’s] .
It is a 2 bladed sight. The rear blade is set for zero at a range of 100 yds. The front blade is set for a range of 175 yds. This rifle was used by myself to hunt white tail deer in 2007.  It took a deer with a shot thru the heart at 135 yds.  The last time I sighted this gun in, it hit a 2” circle the first shot at 100 yds. bench rest.  I call that exceptional for a flintlock.  That is typical accuracy for a John Getz barrel.
